SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2016 Information
SSC CGL Tier-1 is scheduled to be held from 27th August, 2016
1) The Commission has decided to reduce the number of questions from 200 to 100 in Tier-I of the above examination which would continue to carry 200 marks.
2) The duration of the Tier-I exam would be for a period of 75 minutes.
3) In addition to above, the commission has also decided to introduce a Descriptive Paper of English/ Hindi (writing of Essay/ Precis/ Letter/ Application Writing etc.) as Tier-III.
4) And also Tier-IV for Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) / Computer Proficiency Test for Qualifying.

Educational Qualification: Eligible and Job aspirants should be passed Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. For posts of Assistants (CSS), Computer Proficiency Test has also been prescribed as an Essential Qualification.
Application Fee: Rs. 100 (One Hundred Only). Fee exemption from all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen candidates. Candidates should pay the fee by means of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) only. Candidates are encouraged to apply online. The Candidates submitting their applications On-line may pay the requisite fee through State Bank of India only either in the form of challan or on-line through SBI Net Banking. Payment can also be made through any Credit or Debit Card. Challan form will be generated on-line.
Mode of Selection: SSC CGL 2016 selection will be made on the basis of merit list of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and interview. After the Written examination and the Interview / Skill Test/ Computer Proficiency Test/Document verification.
How to Apply for SSC CGL 2016 Notification:
Applicants are advised to apply only online through Staff Selection Commission website http://ssconline.nic.in/ and http://ssconline2.gov.in/. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. The application must be submitted only in the prescribed format on – line or on paper/off-line. Candidates may submit on line applications at website http://ssconline.nic.in. and http://ssconline2.gov.in. They should retain registration number assigned to them on line for correspondence with the commission. They should not submit print outs of their application to the commission.
